Lack of purpose. I wanted to contribute my time towards areas I really care about the sole purpose of existence can't just be paying bills.

Not sure how I can answer this in like 200 words!! But its very much unchartered territory, so relying more on first principles as opposed to set norms or "best-practises" is essential.
